The Department of Pharmaceutical and Medical Business Sciences provides education on pharmacology, which includes specialized information on pharmaceuticals, but it also provides basic knowledge and skills related to general medicine and a wide range of business knowledge. The department aims to train students to fulfill various needs, such as medical office positions supporting doctors at medical institutions or the increasing number of business environments related to medicine, business leaders in medical business fields, or expertise on pharmaceuticals or health foods in sport-related industries to support athletes.

At the Nippon Pharmaceutical University, we aim to cultivate pharmacists who can contribute to self-medication by integrating the traditional Japanese medical concept of Kampo medicine, which emphasizes the prevention and treatment of diseases, with the conventional Western medicine-based healthcare. To achieve this, we offer three courses focused on health, Kampo medicine, and medical care.
